A quick message about the language of perfumes, they are like music and have top notes which are the volatile notes that first escape from the bottle and quickly disappear leaving the middle or heart notes that hang on the skin for quite a bit longer and then finally give way to the base or bottom notes that anchor the fragrance and can sometimes be present for days or even weeks depending on the surface and accumulation of application.  All notes on the scale should perfectly harmonize in a truly well constructed perfume and there should be an elusive variation as the layers reveal their subtle nuances.  No perfume smells the same on any two people.  And, each individual needs to take the time to discover what their own constitution demands; once that harmonization is accomplished there is true joy and ecstasy in that unification of the senses.
